Transforming autoimmune disease insights through
accurate, scalable interferon score analysis
Precision Interferon Scoring for Autoimmune Disease
Allotype BioDiscovery provides advanced assessment of Type I interferon (IFN) activity in patients, supporting research and clinical studies in autoimmune and interferon-mediated diseases.
In partnership with Prof. Francesco Del Galdo and Dr. Rebecca Ross at the University of Leeds, we are developing a robust algorithm to stratify patients by IFN activity into high and low interferon score groups. This approach is being validated in Systemic Sclerosis and extended to other IFN-driven conditions, including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjögren’s Syndrome, Dermatomyositis, and monogenic Type I interferonopathies.

Empowering patient stratification and treatment monitoring
Assessment of IFN activity offers valuable insights for:
- Patient stratification in clinical trials
- Monitoring therapeutic response, particularly before and after immune-modulating treatments
- Mechanistic understanding of disease progression and treatment outcomes
- Identification of patients most likely to benefit from targeted therapies
By integrating IFN score analysis into clinical studies, researchers and clinicians can better understand treatment engagement and improve patient outcome predictions.
Scalable biomarker panel
In addition to interferon-related markers, Allotype offers:
- Customisable and expandable panels to include additional biomarkers relevant to immune function, inflammation, and tissue-specific pathology
- Multiplex capability enabling comprehensive profiling without compromising data quality
- Flexible assay design tailored to specific study objectives
